A Garlic Peeling Breakthrough

Most people who enjoy food, and certainly those who enjoy preparing food, love garlic. Sure, it has the stigma of its lingering smell, but the flavor and health benefits easily outweigh any issues the nose may encounter. What I find far more challenging than the smell (which I actually find rather pleasant . . . at least when cooked), is the tedious process of peeling garlic. Well, no more. Check out this short video by Todd Coleman, the Executive Food Editor of SAVEUR Magazine, showing how to peel garlic in less than 10 seconds. It’s pretty amazing, and if you are a garlic lover, this is a huge breakthrough. Of course, it’s also quite possible that you’ve known this little secret for years, and if so, well, you’ve had the good fortune of enjoying your garlic peeling adventures more than the rest of us.
